Punakaiki Light FestivalDate: 21st June 2008 Location: Te Nikau Retreat Punakaiki Come visit the Punakaiki light festival 3kms North of the famous Pancake rocks. Follow the Truman Track onto the beach for a beautiful sunset then follow the lights to Te Nikau Retreat with a bonfire, lighting displays, bands, a play, poetry, food & drink stalls and lots more. Only $10pp & $20 per family come along for a great nights entertainment

Ford Car Club RallyDate:Queen's Birthday Wkend June 2009 Location: Westport - This rally attaracts cars South Island wide and any Ford from any part of the globe can enter. This has been running for 17 years. From sporty to classic the Ford entries parade the town and are judges with a people's choice award too.
